Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, despite holiday of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, paid surprise visit to Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project without protocol, in the morning.
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the construction work for three hours on the route from Dera Gujran to Samanabad and presided over a meeting at site office near University of Engineering & Technology in which he was apprised of the progress on civil works of Package-I of the project. During the visit of Chief Minister, traffic was not stopped and remained flowing smoothly.
The Chief Minister came out of his vehicle at various places and inspected construction work, shook hand with labourers and talked to them. He advised labourers to work hard as today Eid Milad-un-Nabi is being celebrated and our Holy Prophet also worked.
On seeing Chief Minister, people gathered at various places and raised slogans of “Shehbaz Sharif Zindabad”. Shahbaz Sharif talking to the people in Punjabi language said that “Ae Mansuba Taday Wastey Ae, Aenu Jaldi Tor Tak Punchawan Gay, Mainu Taadi Arzi Taqleef Da Pura Ehsas Ae, Tay Ae Jaldi Khushi Wich Badal Jaway Gi”. The people expressed pleasant surprise on seeing Shahbaz Sharif and said that “Ae Bara Wada Mansuba Ae, Tay Sanu Khushi Hey Ke Tusi Awam Nu Sahultan Punchan Wastay Din Raat Kaam Kr Dey O” The people congratulated Chief Minister on starting Metro Train Project and said that this is their own project due to which travelling facilities will be available to them.
