Punjab government is working on a number of mega projects:Mian Yawar Zaman

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Irrigation Mian Yawar Zaman has said that Punjab government led by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is working on a number of mega projects in the province which included orange line metro train and metro bus system. He said that a new era of economic development has ushered in due to these projects and new impetus was given to engineering sector.

He expressed these views while addressing 73^rd session of a 4-day Pakistan Engineering Congress at local hotel, today. President Pakistan Engineering Congress Iftikhar Ahmed, Secretary Mansoob Ali Zaidi, Chief Engineer Irrigation Malik Saleem, Sharif Shah and engineers from the entire country participated.

Mian Yawar Zaman said that engineers play an important role in the development of the country. He said that Pakistani engineers have worked a lot in all sectors including irrigation in the country which is laudable. Irrigation Minister said that the engineers can play their role in resolving problems being faced by the country through hard work. He said that the efforts of Pakistan Engineering Congress for the promotion of engineering education are commendable.
