389 trainee officers of Motorway Police passed out at Training College Sheikhupura

 

Lahore: Inspector General National Highways & Motorway Police Muhammad Saleem Bhatti said “Motorway Police is considered as a role model institution of Pakistan and now we will make it one of the best highway police in the world”. The IG said that honesty and courtesy are the basic traits that made this department symbol of pride for the nation.

He was addressing trainee police officers at the passing out parade of 389 Police officers including 32 Ladies of NH&MP belonging to different promotional, lower, intermediate and upper class at Motorway Police Training College Sheikhupura.

The IG Muhammad Saleem Bhatti said good name of the department is matter of pride and distinction for whole nation and we will further polish and strengthen these traits. We would never lose this pride and distinction at any cost. He said that Motorway Police has ensured rule of law in accordance with the vision of Quide-e-Azam. “Law should be equally enforced and there should be no concession or exception for anyone. Other departments should also adopt this standard of equality” the Inspector General added. He said that we would strengthen writ of law in our area of jurisdiction.

The IG congratulated passed out trainees and said that he expects that well trained officers will enhance the traffic discipline and make the highways even more secure.

Commandant Training College DIG Ashraf Zubair Siddiqui said in his opening remarks that standard of training is at par with international level. He said that during training basic qualities like honesty, courtesy and rendering help to the road users have been inculcated to the officers. The Inspector General, Muhammad Saleem Bhatti offered wreath of flowers on the monument of ‘Shuhdas’ and prayed for them.
