Lahore: To celebrate Christmas with its christen staff, a dignified gathering & cake cutting ceremony was held at Lahore School of Management, where Emeritus Bishop of Lahore, Dr Alexander John Malik, also distributed gifts to all christen staff and employees.
While, talking on the occasion of joy and happiness, Rev. Dr. Alaxander J. Malik, threw light on the philosophy of humility and negation of ego-centric approach in life with more clear focus on positive thinking and promoting culture of forgiveness.
Rev Dr. Malik, also stressed the realization of importance of selfless support for marginalized & less fortunate people, which is the real essence of all divine religions & social philosophies of the world.
In his opening speech, Director Lahore School of Management, Dr. Ali Sajid explained the importance of tolerance in detail from different perspective and its positive impact on humanity with more focus on Punjabi Sufi Poetry.
Eminent Psychologist, Prof Max Babri & Prof. Dr Asir Ajmal, Director Psychology Program, LSM, also highlighted the philosophy of respect of each other’s feelings, views and ways of promoting concept of universal brotherhood in every walk of life by having more harmony among the followers of different religions and faiths.
At the end, in his concluding speech Public Relation Officer, UET Lahore, Dr Tanveer Qasim, summed up the entire discussion in a very beautiful way by quoting a Verse from Holy Quran and explained his point a view in a very logical manner as to how all great religions of world can work on similarities as opposed to differences, with a a more clear focus on common issues and in this way, we can address growing miseries and human sufferings across the globe.
Dr.Tanveer Qasim laid a lot of emphasis on the need not only on inter-faith dialogue but also stressed the ways to enhance intra -faith consensus within the ambit of same religion to address growing menace of sectarianism.
