Punjab University organizes events to pay tribute to martyrs of APS Peshawar

Punjab University organizes events to pay tribute to martyrs of APS PeshawarLahore: Various departments of Punjab University have organized several events to pay tribute to martyrs of Army Public School Peshawar and in the memory of Fall of Dhaka.

In this connection, PU Law College lit candles to express solidarity with the families of APS Peshawar martyrs. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran, PULC Principal Dr Shazia Qureshi, faculty members, students and employees participated in the event.

The participants offered prayer for the departed souls of the martyrs. Meanwhile, PU Centre for South Asian Studies conducted discussion on the topic of “In Remembrance of East Pakistan Debacle & Incident of APS”.

On this occasion, Director Prof Dr Umbreen Javaid, faculty members and MPhil/PhD scholars were present. Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics organized poster presentations in which students displayed their artistic skills by sketching the incident. Chairperson Prof Dr Anjum Nasim Sabri, faculty members and and students of the department participated in the program.

A quiz competition was held among students at Institute of Chemistry. Director Prof Dr Makshoof Athar, Prof Dr Jamil Anwar Choudhary, faculty members and students participated in the event.
