Corporal punishment is banned in PEF schools

Director (New School Program) Maliha BatoolLahore: The Punjab Education Foundation has asked its school partners to affix two boards- one outside main gate and the other inside main gate of the school, for informing the students and their parents about banning of corporal punishment and where complaints can be lodged.

This step is part of PEF policy to arrange conducive atmosphere for developing nascent students as self-confident youth.

According to a circular of the Director (New School Program) Maliha Batool, school partners are directed to ensure updating their monthly students’ enrolment in PEF’s server through its computerized student information system, maximum by 22 of every month, so that their funding could be released according to the schedule. The partners who have not yet provided their bank account details to the NSP department are also directed to submit certified account certificates latest by Dec. 20.

Meanwhile, more than 64 thousand students of 403 schools attached with foundation assisted school (FAS) program of the foundation appeared in the 16th regular quality assurance test (QAT) which held in 36 districts of the province on friday.
