The jujitsu coaching camp concludes at Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium

Lahore: The jujitsu coaching camp which was organized jointly by Sports Board Punjab (SBP) and Punjab Jujitsu Association (PJA) concluded at SBP Nishtar Park Sports Complex Gymnasium Hall on Thursday.
Consul General Iran Mohammad Hossain Bani Asadi was the chief guest on this occasion. He distributed certificates among the participants of jujitsu coaching camp at the closing ceremony.
Addressing the participants of camp, Consul General Iran Mohammad Hossain Bani Asadi admired the role of Sports Board Punjab for the promotion of sports in the country.
He also praised the jujitsu talent among the Pakistan players. He congratulated Pakistan players M Ammar and Abu Huraira for winning silver medal in the World Jujitsu Championship in recent days. The chief guest also announced to hold a reception in honour of Pakistan jujitsu team next week at the Iranian Consulate.
Khalil Ahmed, President Pakistan Jujitsu Federation (PJF), while addressing the ceremony expressed his gratitude to Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar for extending cooperation for the holding of 10-day jujitsu coaching camp.
He said jujitsu is a new game in Pakistan but it’s gaining rapid acceptance among the youth of the country and Sports Board Punjab has remarkable role in this regard. “The basic aim of camp is to promote jujitsu at the district level and for this purpose we invited coaches from across the province in the camp. After the camp, all the coaches will train the players of their respective areas to promote the game at grassroots level,” he added.
Mahmoodul Hasan, General Secretary PJA, also thanked Sports Board Punjab for providing all facilities during the camp. Hafeez Bhatti, Director Sports Punjab, Waqas Akbar Assistant Director, Imdad Hussain Bhatti, Abdul Rauf Roofi, Public Relations Officer SBP were also present in the ceremony.
