The role of women for the eradication of dengue fever is of great importance

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam,Principal Bank Road Campus Samina NaheedLahore: University of Education organized an anti dengue seminar in Bank Road Campus under the HEC National Outreach Program here on Wednesday.

Vice Chancellor, UoE Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam participated as chief guest while Member Provincial Assembly Majid Zahoor, Principal Bank Road Campus Samina Naheed, Vice Principal Azra Saeed, In charge Program Miss Sumera Rasheed, Dr.Asif Mansoor from Children Hospital, Dr. Faheem Afzaal from KEMU as resource persons, faculty members, household women and a large number of female students were present at occasion. The aim of seminar was to educate students regarding dengue fever symptoms, diagnosis, precautionary measures and to create awareness at mass level in publics from this fatal disease.

Addressing the seminar, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that the role of women for the eradication of dengue fever is of great importance. The role of an educated and aware women and female students for social development and progress cannot be neglected at any cost. He stressed the participants to observe all precautionary measures for the protection from dengue by considering this as our national responsibility.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam also presented a rich tribute to worthy Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif and his team on strong commitment and endless efforts for the complete eradication of dengue and showed a high passion to work under his kind guidance with great zest and zeal. He advised the students to perform their important role not only for the eradication of dengue but also for resolving the other social issues because a real positive change is key step of progress and development.

Principal Bank Road Campus Samina Naheed thanked the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam and other guests upon arrival and gave a detailed briefing about the continuing activities and measures for dengue eradication in campus.

MPA Majid Zahoor, Dr.Asif Mansoor and In charge Program Miss Sumera Rasheed also addressed the seminar. Afterwards an awareness walk was also organized within the campus boundary in which students were kept in hands a number of posters and banners on which precautionary tips and statements from dengue fever were written. Moreover pamphlets and other informative literature were distributed among students.
