Lahore: The terrorists have attacked with hand grenade today at Din News office causing injuries to three people including 2 cops.The injured Nasir,Abbas and Jafar Bin Yar have been shifted to Services Hospital where their condition was being told “out of danger”.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif,CM Shahbaz Sharif have taken notice of the terrorist attack and directed the administration to provide foolproof security to all the media houses.
Former prime minister Yosaf Raza Gilani,president Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari,Senator Siraj ul Haq and other leaders have condemned the cowardly attack at Din News.
Meanwhile; Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken notice of the news of cracker blast outside Din TV and sought a report from IG Punjab.
The Chief Minister ordered immediate arrest of the accused involved in the incident and directed that best treatment facilities should be provided to the injured.
Condemning the incident, Shahbaz Sharif said that journalism is the fourth pillar of the state and no one can be allowed to use such cowardly tactics against the freedom of journalism.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting and National Heritage Senator Pervaiz Rashid has strongly condemned an attack on DIN TV office in Lahore.
The minister, in a statement here Tuesday, said the democratic government believed in freedom of expression and accorded top priority to the safety and security of journalists, media workers and media houses.
The federal government, he said, was taking every possible step to provide security to the media and had also asked the provincial governments to increase their efforts for ensuring an environment where the media persons could perform their duties without any fear.
He prayed for the early recovery of the two injured policemen and an employee of the DIN TV.
