Ch Sarwar identified over 25 failures of the Federal and Punjab governments

Ch SarwarLahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab organiser Chaudhary Muhammad has issued a fact sheet highlighting over 25 failures of the PMLN Federal and Punjab Government & termed it as “Government with Stumped Policies”.

Sarwar said that despite gullzing billtions of urpees Nandipur Power Project had failed .He said that skyrocketing inflation had worsened the livies of poor. He emphasised that the incompetent rulers had converted the country into “Masaailistan”.

He said that the PML-N government had claimed that Pakistan will not “beg” for loans & will become self sufficient. However the Government has acquired further loans of US $ 9,750 million which has increased Pakistan’s debt servicing – a major portion of the total budget.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that the federal government had so far failed to appoint a foreign minister, whilst the Punjab government has failed to appoint a health minister.

Despite all claims by the rulers, he regretted that more than 53% people are still living below the poverty line. The farmers were also not being given the due price for their crops. The rulers were spending billions on advertising the projects that benefit them politically, whilst the common man has no health or education facilities. He said that people’s lives and property are not safe in Punjab due to lack of Law and Order. Chaudhary Sarwar said that the country is facing acute load-shedding of electricity and gas despite Government’s promises.

Not only PTI, he said, but the Pakistan Army and the Supreme Court of Pakistan are also asking the Federal government to improve its governance. He said that the rulers should admit their incompetence in running the affairs of the country. Through a warning notice,

PTI Punjab Organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar identified government’s 25 failures and demanded that the government should fulfil all its promises made during the election campaign instead of trying to cover their failures with further ‘ mock’ promises. He said that the government had committed that it would end corruption but  according to media reports  some Rs 300 billion worth of corruption is being reported on an annual basis.

In Wapda alone, he said, billions of rupees electricity theft has been reported during the past one year alone. He said that the worst-ever corruption was reported in the Nandipur Power Project, Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park project and the Metro Bus but no-one has ever been  apprehended.

Such a situation was encouraging the corrupt elements to keep on making money through illegal means. He said that the rulers, who were crying hoarse that they would maintain law and order,  failed to keep peace during the local government elections & failed to hold elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.

He said the PML-N government during election campaign and after coming into power announced that they would end the menace of joblessness but the on-ground situation suggested that 45%  of youth are suffering from depression due to joblessness. Chaudhary Sarwar said that the incumbent rulers had announced that they would break the “ begging bowl” but the PML-N after coming into power got around Rs 2.25 billion loan on daily basis that had now stacked up to $9,750 million according to media reports.

Now, he said  that every Pakistani was under debt of over Rs100,000.He said that the rulers continued to claim that they would end the power crisis in the country but despite all tall claims, the country is still facing 10 hours to 12 hours load-shedding on daily basis.

He said the government had failed to set up any power generation project that could optimally produce power. This situation was continuously increasing load-shedding in the country. He said that the petroleum prices came down to 50 per cent world over, but the incompetent rulers in Pakistan again failed to give due relief to masses.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that the rulers vowed to minimise the crime rate but still some 300,000 criminal cases are being reported on monthly basis in Punjab alone. He said that PTI and other political parties’ 20 workers were killed due to flawed security measures during the local government elections. He said that the crime against women and children is increasing with every passing day in Punjab.

He said that the perpetrators of child molestation cases in Kasur and Hafizabad had not been punished, whilst women were committing suicides because their rapists were never arrested and punished. He said that some 53,000 proclaimed offenders were still moving around freely in Punjab because the police had failed to arrest them.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that the farmers on the one hand are being robbed by the mafia manufacturing fake pesticides and on the other hand, they were unable to get the due price of their wheat, sugarcane and rice crops. He said that the financial position of farmers was continuously declining. He said that the government had also failed in fulfilling their promise made with the lower grade government employees and now they are out on the road staging protests.

ChaudharySarwar said that education is the most important factor in the development of countries and nations but in Punjab alone some 13 million children were still out of schools, while over 18 percent schools in Punjab were without basic education facilities. .

In the absence of education and abject poverty, he said, some two million youth and children were compelled to do labour and odd jobs instead of seeking education. Despite all claims by the government, he said, some 53 per cent people were still living under the poverty line. He said the health facilities is the fundamental right of the people but there was not even a health minister available in Punjab, who could look after the crisis in hospitals across Punjab.

Due to non-availability of required health facilities in hospitals, he regretted that women were still giving birth to children on hospital stairs. He said that the dengue patients were also dying despite the fact that government was spending billions of rupees. He regretted that the number of dengue patients had risen to 2,000, which was alarming. Whenever the PML-N comes into power announces that it will change the “thana culture” but still those visiting police stations to seek justice, were being tortured and even killed.

Chaudhary Sarwar said that it was government’s responsibility to install check and balance in all sections so that nobody can act illegally. But in Punjab, he said, that there are no checks and balances, which were resulting in tragedies like Sunder Factory, where a number of people died under the debris.

He said that the whole nation knew that the rulers had not fulfiled any of its promises after coming into power and therefore the Pakistan Army, Supreme Court of Pakistan and other national institutions were expressing their dissatisfaction about government’s governance in the country.
