Lahore: Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals Ch. Sher Ali Khan has said that Punjab Government is encouraging public private partnership in building and construction industry by motivating local and foreign investors to introduce latest as well as environment friendly techniques and innovations in this sector.
He said this at the inauguration ceremony of a 3-days International Green Build Expo & Conference organized by Pakistan Green Building Council and FAKT Exhibitions held at Expo Centre Lahore here today.
President LCCI Sheikh Arshad, Director Board of Investment Pakistan Muhammad Ayub, representative of Pak-German Business Forum Muhammad Yasin, CEO FAKT Exhibitions Saleem Khan Tanoli, and Aqrab Ali Rana, CEO of Pakistan Green Building Council were present at this occasion.
While addressing the media Ch. Sher Ali Khan said that Punjab Government appreciates the efforts of private sector for arranging this Expo as it will help to promote the image of Pakistan as an investment friendly destination in the national and International market. He said such events provide high platform for interaction and strong business alliance between Pakistan and rest of the world through an interactive showcase of cutting edge tools and equipment, latest green technologies and synergy of allied services.
Minister Mines Ch Sher Ali Khan visited different stalls in the exhibition and took keen interest in what the exhibitors had offered. This expo is Pakistan’s first Exhibition of its kind which will provide a platform to all the related business leads and relationships to advance business, upgrade systems administration, incorporating leaders to manufacture productive connections over the long haul.
The event will showcase the most recent green concepts, practices and technologies being used in the industry. The event also encompasses two day conference on 27th and 28th November which will cover vital topics on the growth and development of the building and construction Industry in Pakistan.
It will be an ideal platform for the industry to discuss key challenges and opportunities. The conference will feature exchange of latest technical information, dissemination of the high-quality research results and presentation of the new developments in the area of building and construction and power shaping industry’s future direction and priorities for better environment and sustainable development.
Pakistan Green Build Expo 2015 had participation of more than 50 companies which booked more than 100 stalls. The event is been attended by quality visitors and effectively affirmed real interest from around 10 international countries like China, India, Italy, Sri Lanka and many more.
Pakistan Green Build Expo has attracted a great number of local and international trade visitors on its first day and is expected to attract greater number of trade visitors on the second and third day of the event.
