Senator Sirajul Haq visits the Makhdoom House Hala to offer condolence

Siraj ul HaqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, on Thursday, visited the Makhdoom House Hala, and condoled the demise of senior PPP leader Makhdoom Ameen Faheem, with the deceased’s son Makhdoom Jamiluz Zaman and brother Rafiquz Zaman. He offered fateha for the departed leader. JI deputy chiefs Asadullah Bhutto and Rashid Naseem, JI Sindh chief Dr Merajul Huda, JI Information Secretary Ameerul Azeem, Muhammad Hussain Mehnati, and Abdul Waheed Qureshi accompanied the JI chief.

Talking to the media on the occasion, Sirajul Haq said that late Ameen Faheem had left behind the tradition of decency and loyalty in politics.

The JI chief deplored that the present government had failed to fulfill its election promises for overcoming the energy crisis, price hike, unemployment due to which the people of Karachi as also Sindh province were highly disappointed. Therefore, he said that the 2018 general elections should prove a Day of Reckoning.

He however said that despite the failure of the governments, he wanted the present rulers to complete their tenure so that they could not complain of foul play.

Addressing the JI embers at Hyderabad during his visit there on Thursday, he said that Pakistan was created in the name of Islam and the JI was striving for the Islamic system in the country. However, he said, that international establishment including hidden powers, financial institutions and colonial powers considered Islamic system a challenge for them and were obstructing it in every possible way.

Besides, he said, that politics and elections in the country had been made a game of wealth and the JI had to face this challenge with commitment and hard work. The JI workers and members would have to strengthen their faith in Allah through the study of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah and also their liaison with the masses and through their good dealing with the public.  He said that the JI workers and leaders were like farmers who had to work hard to reap a good crop. They would also have to learn from the past experiences.

Sirajul Haq said that victory or defeat in elections did not matter much and “we must examine our strategy and the amount of harm work we had done”.

He was happy to note that the JI workers in Hyderabad had done their best for the local bodies elections, and added that they should make preparations for the 2018 elections.
