Riaz Fatiana chairs the meeting of Pakistan Modern Pentathlon Federation

Lahore: The General Council meeting of Pakistan Modern Pentathlon Federation (PMPF) was held here on Thursday at a local hotel. Riaz Fatiana, the President of PMPF, presided over the meeting.

Mr Bernard Moss represented the Union of International Pentathlon Modern (UIPM) while representatives of all four provinces, Islamabad, FATA and Azad Kashmir also attended the meeting. The calendar year competitions of 2016 were also approved in the meeting.

According to calendar activities, PMPF will organize National Pentathlon Championship, Inter-Provincial Championship, Inter-School Championship, National Junior Championship and National Women Pentathlon Championship.

In January 2016, national male and female training camp will also be organized to prepare the pentathlon players for the important future events. The participation of national team in international pentathlon championship was also approved in the meeting. The expenditures of 2014 and 2015 were also approved during the meeting. The meeting also reviewed the measures taken by Pakistan Modern Pentathlon Federation in 2014-15 for the promotion of game in the country.

The meeting also admired the role and cooperation of Sports Board Punjab (SBP) for the growth of pentathlon in the country and holding of recently-staged 2^nd National Pentathlon Championship in a befitting manner.

Syed Tahir Fawad Shah, Zahoor Ahmed, Ramzan Qasuri, Chand Perveen, Mrs Riffat, Shah Muhammad, Sajid Hussain, Mian Safdar Hussain, M Ashfaq and M Hafeez also attended the meeting.
