Lahore: Member National Assembly & Chairman Public Affairs Unit Punjab Hamza Shahbaz MNA paid a surprise visit to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Murree and reviewed work at emergency, outdoor, operation theatre, dental unit besides other wards of the hospital. He talked to the patients and inquired about the medical facilities.
Hamza Shahbaz expressed reservations and indignation and directed to make arrangements for up-gradation of the hospital to provide best medical facilities to the patients so as to minimize their difficulties.
Hamza Shahbaz ordered to immediately shift dental unit affected due to earthquake. He directed to improve facilities in operation theatre besides other wards. He directed to further improve cleanliness and overall performance of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Murree. He issued instructions to DCO Rawalpindi and Assistant Commissioner Murree for monitoring the affairs of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Murree and its improvement, upon which, district administration has issued ten million rupees immediately to THQ Murree which will be utilized for up-gradation of various wards of the hospital. Hamza Shehbaz arrived THQ Hospital without any information or protocol and mingled with the people. He talked to the patients and listened to their problems. He assured them for providing medicines and other facilities.
Speaking on the occasion, Hamza Shahbaz said that all out resources are being provided to raise standard of government hospitals. He said that doctors and paramedical staff should discharge their duties with national and humanitarian spirit. He said that it is top priority of the government to provide latest medical facilities in far-flung areas like Murree and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.
Hamza Shahbaz said that he will personally supervise Murree Hospital and during his next visit he will review implementation of the instructions given during this visit. He said that government is spending huge funds in health sector and patients should fully benefit from the measures taken by the government.
