Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has called upon the federal government to accommodate all the provinces in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project
Addressing a function at Jandol Model School and College, at Torkilla Munda in Dir on Monday, he said that peace could not be restored in the tribal areas without providing employment to the tribal youth and launching major development projects there.
Sirajul Haq urged the federal government not to bypass Khyber P. in the CPEC project otherwise the JI would stand in its way.
Sirajul Haq further said that it was not prudent to take the “good governance” advice in the negative sense because such an advice or suggestion could come only from a well-wisher. He said that the suggestion made in good sense had been made an issue unnecessarily.
Turning to education, the JI chief said that the Muslims had rendered valuable services in the field of learning and made numerous discoveries and inventions. However, he said that today the Muslims were dependent upon the west in the field of science and technology because of corruption and nepotism of the rulers which discouraged the talented young men.
Earlier, while addressing the JI councilors from Dir district , Sirajul Haq exhorted them to dedicate themselves for the service of the people. He said that the benefits of democracy should reach at grass root level through the local bodies.
He criticized the Election Commission for delaying the notification of the election result in the PA 95 despite the High Court orders and said this was a big question mark on the function of the EC.
Speaking on the occasion, provincial Finance Minister Muzafar Sayed, said that the credit for all the development works undertaken In Dir district went to the JI and the JI chief, Sirajul Haq. He also announced a grant of Rs. 20 lakh for the Jandol Model School and College.
