The year 2018 would be the year for change: Siraj ul Haq

sirajul haqLahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has termed  Nov. 22 as  a Black Day as two senior  Islam-loving leaders including Secretary General, JI,  Ali Hassan Mujahid, Bangladesh, were executed in Bangladesh for their love for Pakistan and its ideology.

Addressing a big public meeting at Bannu, he said the only crime of these leaders was their love for this country, its ideology and its armed forces. However, he said, it was unfortunate that Prime Minister and the Army chief had been completely silent on this execution. He said that the executions were violation of the tripartite agreement between Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.

Chief of the JI, Khyber P, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, JI central leader Prof. Muhammad Ibrahim Khan and other party leaders were also present.

Sirajul Haq said that the government of Hasina Wajid, daughter of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Bangladesh was eliminating pro- Pakistan people one by one and several prominent JI leaders there had been executed but the rulers in Islamabad had been silent. He said, these brave people had preferred death over making an appeal to the Indian agents ruling Bangladesh. “These brave people have given us a message that living and dying for this country is the key to paradise”. They had revived the memory of Imam Husain, he added.  Funeral prayer is being offered at Mall Road for the vicitims of hanging in Bangladesh

Sirajul Haq said took strong exception to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif remarks of a liberal Pakistan. He said the Quid e Azam had repeatedly talked of Pakistan as an Islamic state.

“I ask the Prime Minister to explain whether the Quaid e Azam was right or he (Premier)”.

He said if Mian Nawaz Sharif has so much love for liberalism and secularism, he should go to India.

The JI chief termed the slavery of the IMF and World Bank as treachery with the Pakistan ideology.  He said that the rulers were receiving huge loans but the entire burden fell on the masses.

Sirajul Haq said that Dr Aafia Siddiqui was a respectable daughter of the country but the political leadership had never raised the issue of her release during their visits to the US. He said that the resources of the Khyber P province including the water and power were being controlled by the federal government which was not giving a fair deal to the province. However, he said, we would not compromise on the rights of the province.’

Sirajul Haq said that the plight of the IDPs was pitiable. He said, these people were forced to leave their homes on 24 hour notice but the government so far had not given the date for the end of the operation although the government was claiming that 85 per cent of the area had been cleared. He said that the IDPs should be sent to their homes and every possible help and assistance should be provided to them.

Stating that across the board accountability was the need of the hour, he said, that the NAP or other existing institutions could not carry out accountability of the corrupt. Only the JI would do this and it would recover every penny of the public money from the plunderers, he added.

He was sure that the year 2018 would be the year for change.
