Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that in the DCOs and DPOs in order to save their jobs had done every illegal work in the local bodies election what they should not have done.
He said this while addressing meeting of newly-elected independent local bodies’ representatives from Talagang who announced joining the PML at his residence here today. Independent local bodies’ representatives included Chairman Malik Riaz, Vice-Chairman Malik Ameer Sultan, Chairman Syed Mahmud Shah, Chairman Malik Asghar Khan, Vice-Chairman Malik Ashraf, Vice-Chairman Malik Mumtaz, Chairman Malik Asad Qadri and Chairman Malik Zamurd Khan whereas Fayyaz Gardezi, Fasihur Rahman and Mian Zaheerul Rehman of Jamaat-e-Islami also announced their support.
Ch Parvez Elahi congratulated newly-elected PML members of Municipal Committee Talagang Tariq Naeem Malik, Malik Mohammad Hussain, Malik Nazar Hussain, Malik Zahid Awan, Muhammad Ejaz Mughul, Rafiullah and Ghulam Ahmad Malik.
Ch Parvez Elahi further said that as the Chief Minister he had undertaken development works throughout Punjab without any discrimination, independent candidates joining our party in large number proves that the people remember their benefactors even today. He said that even the Chinese companies have withdrawn from Nandipir Power Project, now the rulers plan to borrow loan from banks for swallowing public money. He said we had constructed small dams in Pothohar area but Shahbaz Sharif do not have enough sense that electricity will come by construction of dam and not by merely making announcement, farmers sentiments are being hurt in the name of Kisan Package, farmers will get nothing from this package, if we got the opportunity again then we will start process of service from where it was stopped Insha-Allah, in the second and third phase of local polls PML will secure major success.
Hafiz Ammar Yasir, Sardar Amjad Ilyas, Sh Saeed, Malik Asad Mahmood, Dr Abdul Ghaffar, Malik Imtiaz, Malik Ayyaz Khird, Hafiz Sher Khan, Malik Allah Yar, Haji Mohammad Riaz Awan and Malik Zakaullah also addressed on the occasion.
