Lahore: Australian High Commissioner Margaret Adamson has said that Lahore is rich in cultural heritage and a beautiful city. She visited Badshahi Masjid, Hazoori Bagh, Lahore Fort and Shalamar Garden. The visit was arranged by Special Monitoring Unit for Law & Order and DCO Lahore on the direction of Chief Minister Punjab. The visit is aimed at acquainting foreign dignitaries with the cultural heritage of Lahore. Officials of Archaeology Department apprised the Australian High Commissioner of the cultural heritage of Lahore and its historical importance.
Expressing her views during the visit of historical places of Lahore, Margaret Adamson said that it is a beautiful and highly pleasant experience which will be remembered forever. She said that contrary to general impression of media, Lahore is a peaceful and unique city. She said that acquaintance with glorious history of Lahore is more than an honor for her and that is why Lahore is termed heart of Pakistan. Senior Member SMU for Law & Order Salman Sufi termed the visit of Australian High Commissioner to Lahore a good omen and added that there are vast opportunities of tourism and investment in Pakistan.
