Bandits on rampage in Mandi Bahauddin

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal): Five different robbery incidents took place when robbers barged into five houses in village Mano Chak situated on Phalia Gujrat Road near Phalia.

The robbers barged into houses at night and held the inmates hostage at gunpoint. They looted cash, jewelry and mobile phones and fled away without any interference from the villagers.

In the morning, on learning about the incidents, villagers held a protest demonstration and blocked the road for traffic. Police party led by DSP Phalia arrived at the scene on whose assurance to arrest the accused, residents called of the protest.

Giving details of the loss, villagers said the robbers took away cash amounting to Rs 2050000 and some gold ornaments from the house of Mushataq, gold ornaments weighing 2 tola and Rs 40000 from the house of Aurang Zeb. Mian Attiqe, Master Iniat and Ghulam Rasul houses were also looted.
