Lahore: Austrian Ambassador Dr. Brigitta Blaha met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in different sectors were discussed in the meeting.
Talking to Austrian Ambassador, the Chief Minister said that there are strong friendly relations between Pakistan and Austria however, there is a need for effective measures for the promotion of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. He said that there are vast opportunities of investment in agriculture, livestock, energy and other sectors in Punjab and foreign investors can benefit from them.
Korean Ambassador Song Jong-hwan called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here today. Matters of mutual interest, bilateral relations and promotion of cooperation in energy, infrastructure, transport and other sectors were discussed in the meeting.
The Korean Ambassador offered to extend all out assistance and cooperation in energy sector and it was agreed in the meeting to promote economic and trade relations between Pakistan and Korea. The Korean Ambassador also expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of precious human lives in worst earthquake in Pakistan and said that Korean government and people are standing by Pakistan in this moment of trial.
The Chief Minister said that there are strong friendly and economic relations between Pakistan and Korea and time has come to further promote economic and trade cooperation between the two countries. He said that exchange of mutual delegations is of vital importance for strengthening trade and economic ties between Pakistan and Korea. He said that there are vast opportunities of investment in energy sector in Pakistan and Korean companies can benefit from them.
Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the offer of cooperation and assistance by Korea in energy sector and hoped that economic and trade ties between the two countries would further strengthen in future. The Korean Ambassador Song Jong-hwan said that Korea is ready to extend all out help to Pakistan in setting up energy projects and wants to strengthen its economic and trade relations with Pakistan. He said that Punjab is making rapid progress and prosperity under the leadership of Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. He said that Shehbaz Sharif is striving for welfare and betterment of the masses and his efforts for speedy and transparent completion of development projects are commendable.
