DCO Mandi Bahauddin Muzaffar Khan Sial visits DHQ Hospital

Mandi Bahauddin(Sher Gondal): District Coordinating Officer Muzaffar Khan Sial paid surprise visit to DHQ Hospital and on checking attendance register found a computer operator absent.

He ordered MS DHQ to take disciplinary action against the computer operator for absenting on duty without leave. He took round of wards and enquired from patients and their attendants about quality of medical treatment and availability of medicines; many of them complained that doctors did not give enough time in looking after patients admitted in wards.

The DCO directed MS to ensure that medical officers pay more attention to their respective patients under treatment. He also checked Dialysis centre where 26 patients were being treated and 36 were waiting. The machines were found in working condition. He however in view of increasing number of patients announced to provide one more dialysis machine. He said Punjab Government under the direction of CM Shahbaz Sharif was spending millions to provide health facilities to the citizens but their benefits were not yet reaching to the most deserving citizens in full.

He warned the doctors and other staff of the hospital to serve patients with honesty and dedication. He said in this respect no excuse would be accepted and any one lacking in performance and showing negligence would be taken to task under the law.

He thereafter went to Government Children Hospital where the medical staff was sitting and chatting. This annoyed the DCO who served them warning and asked them to attend to their patients. One doctor was also found absent without leave. The DCO directed MS to hold inquiry against the absentee and proceed against him under the law.
