Sharif brothers prefer increasing imports from India for sake of their friendship :Ch Parvez Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that if Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif were sincere with the farmers then they should have allocated funds for the farmers in the first budget of their federal and provincial governments on coming into power, publicity package announced in the name of farmers after 8 years of power in Punjab in second term and three years in the centre is a fraud and election stunt, we are the real well-wishers of the farmers who have done for the farmers and the poor which no other govt has done before and after our govt.

Ch Parvez Elahi was addressing a big Kisan Convention at Allahabad (Thaing More) in Kasur today in which thousands of farmers pledged to move forward hand in gloves with the former Chief Minister for their rights. MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi, MPA Sardar Vickas Hassan Mokal, Col Abbas, Bao Rizwan and other PML leaders accompanied him.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that these enemies of the farmers rulers have wasted billions of rupees on jangla buses, show off projects and importing vegetables, potatoes and tomatoes from India but not given anything to local farmers, Indian farmers benefitted through import of agricultural products from India, today cost of seed, fertilizers and water are much more than price of the crop.

Welcoming announcement of full support from the farmers, Ch Parvez Elahi said that like our established 1122 we will reach to help farmer and poor immediately. On this, slogans of “Parvez Elahi is our benefactor” were repeatedly chanted enthusiastically.

He said there is no other greater and important issue than those of the problems of the farmers, 66 per cent population live in villages but rulers have completely ignored their problems, now on the occasion of local bodies election package was announced as a fraud whereas during our tenure we had procured every single grain, then farmer was prosperous, there were standing director to the sugar mills not to stop farmers payments, we had remitted tax on the farmers, they have imposed GST, Sharif brothers prefer increasing imports from India for sake of their friendship whereas here the farmers and industrialists are protesting, cheques given by these rulers to flood affected and widows have not been cashed, now how they will give cash support?

Ch Parvez Elahi said during month of Muharrum, Hazrat Imam Hussain (Radi Allah Anhu) gave practical lesson to the coming generations for standing upright before the oppressive rulers.

He said last week Shahbaz Sharif had visited Kasur Hospital because sanitation system was not proper here there was no medicine, doctor, nurses and even electricity in the hospital, Shahbaz Sharif has put Rs 100 billion surplus province under heavy debt of two thousand billions of rupees but asking for donations for 1122 and giving advertisements for leasing out hospitals on contract, Shahbaz Sharif should at least distribute the money he has eaten out of Nandipur Power Project among the farmers.

He said if Almighty Allah provided us another opportunity then we will carry forward our welfare work in every sector including agriculture, provide free education up to BA to the farmers’ children as well as cheap loans, implements, fertilizers and seed and adequate water till tail like previously.

Dr Azeemuddin Zahid Lakhvi said that objective of the Kisan Convention is to reiterate pledge to struggle for the farmers, PML will continue working for the prosperity of the farmers under guidance of Ch Parvez Elahi. Sardar Vicas Hassan Mokal, Mirza Fareed and Barullah Samsam also addressed the convention.

Those seated on the stage included Tabussum Ahmed, Ch Istikhar Hussain, Haji Mohammad Ismail, Abdul Rashid Booti, Ch Sher Afgan, Dr Yasin, Sardar Mohammad Dogar, Haji Munir, Haji Ashraf, Ashfaq Bhatti, Sardar Farhan Sarwar among other party leaders.

In Allahabad and venue of the public meeting, huge portraits and hoardings of Ch Shujat Hussain, Ch Parvez Elahi, Moonis Elahi and Dr Azeem uddin Zahid Lakhvi and party flags were displayed in large number all around.
