Shahbaz Sharif visits the house of murdered Raza Arshad at Mandi Bahauddin

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited the house of 11 years’ old student of class four Raza Arshad at Mohallah Kot Ahmad Shah near Mandi Bahauddin who was murdered after abuse and expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief with the mother and other members of the family over this tragic incident.

The Chief Minister also expressed grief over the death of Muhammad Arshad, father of the deceased student and offered Fateha for the departed souls of Raza Arshad and his father Muhammad Arshad. Expressing his sympathies and condolences with the mother of deceased Raza Arshad, Shahbaz Sharif said that the murder of innocent boy is a very heartrending incident and he is deeply grieved over this tragedy.

The Chief Minister promised that he will provide justice to them and the case will be sent to the Anti-Terrorist Court. Consoling the mother of Raza Arshad, Shahbaz Sharif assured her provision of justice. The Chief Minister said that he cannot bring back her son but justice will be provided at all costs. He said that the accused involved in the murder of Raza Arshad will not escape deterrent punishment.

Shahbaz Sharif also inquired the details of the tragic incident from the mother of the deceased. He said that Raza Arshad was killed brutally and whosoever committed this barbarism will be awarded exemplary punishment. He said that one accused involved in the murder of Raza Arshad has been arrested. He said that justice will be provided at every cost and such beasts deserve no leniency.

The Chief Minister said that Punjab government will look after the affected family and brothers of deceased student Raza Arshad and provide free treatment facilities and education. He said that complete protection will be provided to the affected family.

Shahbaz Sharif said that he took notice of this tragic incident and ordered immediate arrest of the accused and police has arrested one accused. Mother of Raza Arshad while talking to the Chief Minister said that the accused should be hanged under that tree where her innocent son was killed.

She said that they are receiving threats upon which Shahbaz Sharif assured all possible protection to the family. Inspector General Police Punjab also accompanied the Chief Minister. It may be mentioned that eleven years old Raza Arshad was killed with sharp tool after abuse on October 4 and his dead body was recovered from the graveyard.

On the orders of Chief Minister, one accused Rizwan has already been arrested and the tool used in murder has also been recovered. Raza Arshad belonged to a poor family and his father Muhammad Arshad also died on October 8 due to shock. The father of the deceased used to work abroad and had come to Pakistan on leave.
