Lahore: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Affairs Dr Asif Karmani Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would be subdued forever after ‘heavy defeat’ to its candidates in NA-122 and NA-144 by-elections.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), he said, would continue to serve the entire country as the people of the two constituencies would enthusiastically elect its candidates by stamping the election symbol of ‘lion’ en masse.
“Voting for the PML-N candidates means voting for Pakistan as the symbol of ‘lion’ is the symbol of its progress and prosperity,” he said in a statement.
He said like in the past the people of Lahore would again express their love, affection and attachment with Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif in the by-polls because of the two leaders’ decades-long services.
The voters of two constituencies would ensure a bright future for next generations by voting for the PML-N candidates, he added.
