Lahore: Chief Secretary Punjab Khizar Hayat Gondal inaugurated Library and Community Centre at SOS Children Village here on Saturday. The Chief Secretary also visited different sections of the SOS Village and interacted with the children living there.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the Chief Secretary said that the Punjab government will continue all kind of support and cooperation for SOS Children Villages Pakistan. He said that the organization is doing great service by looking after orphan and deserving children.
He said that in SOS villages, children are placed in an environment which is as close as possible to a natural home. This allows them to live normal lives and a sense of confidence is instilled in them that develops their full potential, he added. The Chief Secretary also distributed certificates among the donors.
The ceremony was attended by DG Walled City Authority Kamran Lashari, SOS Village administration, and donor organizations.
