Lahore: The National Mashaikh Council, Sunni Ulema Council, Jamaat Ahl-e-Sunnah and 30 ulema have announced their support for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and agreed to fully participate in the PTI public meetings and rallies.
National Mashaikh Council chief Khwaja Ghulam Qutubuddin Afridi, Sunni Ulema Council’s Allama Muhammad Jamil Sajid, Rajeehullah Hazarvi, Allama Sarfraz Saifi, Allama Sajid Mehmood Chishti, Allama Qazi Abul Ghaffar Qadri, Allama Muhammad Hafiz Athar, Allama Ahmad Buksh Sialvi, Mufti Asif Ali Naumani, Mufti Liaqat Ali Siddiqui, Allama Ghulam Murtaza Saidi, Peer Muhammad Amin Sajid, Sahibzada Mukhtar Ahmad Qadri and others met PTI Punjab organiser Chaudhary Muhammad Sarwar here on Wednesday.
Later, at a press conference, all the three religious parties leaders and 30 ulema announced their support for the PTI.Chaudhary Sarwar thanked all the parties and ulema for supporting PTI in the by-election and added that the rulers were continuously befooling masses by raising slogans of merit.
However, he said, the DG NAB, Punjab, had exposed the Punjab government by exposing 325 corruption cases in the province. He said these corruption cases were a slap on the face of PML-N government’s good governance. He said the rulers would be made accountable for the corruption and looting at every forum.
The PTI Punjab chief regretted that none of the major problems being faced by the masses had been resolved during the last 30 years. Instead, he said, the masses’ problems had been multiplied and no institution in Punjab was ready to serve masses without extracting bribe. He said the people had been pushed against the wall and they wanted the creation of Naya Pakistan and therefore they would vote for the PTI on Oct 11.
He said the PTI’s both candidates would win in Lahore by-election.
Chaudhary Sarwar said the rulers should to brag of their experience before the 2013 general elections but now their experience had been exposed as no institution could be rectified. He said the government’s decision to privatise PIA and other national institutions showed that the government was not able to run the affairs of the country.He said the PTI would take revenge from the PML-N of its rigging through the people’s votes in the Oct 11 by-election.
