University of Engineering and Technology,organizes a Seminar on “Orange Metro Train”

Lahore: The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore organized a Seminar on “Orange Metro Train” at New Auditorium Complex.

Speaking on the occasion the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid briefed the importance of the project to UET students. He emphasized the students to take part in this project as this is the best time for learning.

Additional Chief Engineer LDA gave the initial presentation of the said project. They said that the project would be completed in a minimum time limit of international level. The Chinese company estimated total cost of this project 90 billion but we would complete the same at the cost of Rs. 48 billion. This is a big achievement of Pakistani company.

Package one orange line started from Dera Gujran to Chuburji and the total length of the project is 27 Km. They said that after the completion of Civil Work we will be handed over the project to China and the total completion time  is 27 month. Complete detail of the project will be given in the next presentation.

At the end the Vice-Chancellor thanked the guest for sparing their valuable time. All the Chairpersons/Directors, faculty members and students attended the presentation.
