PM Nawaz Sharif orders inquiry into airfare increase by private operators

Lahore: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Monday took a serious notice of sudden and unjustified increase in airfares of private airlines causing inconvenience and discomfort to travellers.

According to a PM House statement, the Prime Minister expressed his anger over the unauthorised increase that also caused extreme hardship for the passengers.

He also instructed the departments concerned to carry out inquiry and if increase is found unauthorised, it should be rescinded within 48 hours.
