Rana Mashhood inaugurates a computer lab at Government Middle School

Minister Education Rana Mashhood inaugurates a computer lab at Government Middle SchoolLahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan inaugurated a newly constructed computer lab at Government Middle School Sikandaria Colony Bund Road and also announced extension of the institution by including seven marla piece of land adjacent to school in the school premises. A longstanding need of the school has been fulfilled with the construction of computer lab comprising seven computers completed at a cost of five lakh rupees.

EDO Education Lahore Pervaiz Akhtar also accompanied the Minister. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan visited different classes and reviewed the talent and educational performance of the students through question answers. The Minister also distributed prizes among the students displaying outstanding performance. Rana Mashhood stressed upon headmistress and other teachers of the school to fully prepare for L&D test to be conducted after some days to review educational performance of the children.

Talking to the media, Education Minister said that about 80 percent children of our school already know about the basic things regarding computer therefore no difficulty will be faced in teaching them through computer or tablet. He said that Punjab government considers free and quality education as basic right of every child. He said that the Chief Minister by bearing the financial burden of educational needs of one lakh children through endowment fund has brought one lakh families out of darkness of disappointment and ignorance in the real sense.

He said that the number of such children will reach two lakh within next year as the Chief Minister has openly said that there is no shortage of funds for the promotion of education. Rana Mashhood said that due to poor and knowledge-friendly policies of Punjab Chief Minister, his name will be written in gold letters due to his invaluable services in education sector in the history of the country.
