Dr Faisal Masud to ascertain the causes of increase in dengue virus in Rawalpindi

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has constituted an inquiry committee for ascertaining the causes of increase in dengue virus in Rawalpindi. The committee will also investigate with regard to negligence in the steps taken for anti-dengue in Rawalpindi and fix the responsibility and submit the report to the Chief Minister.

Commissioner Gujranwala division will be convener of the committee while other members include Vice Chancellor King Edward Medical College University Dr. Faisal Masood, Commissioner Sahiwal division and Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board.

The Chief Minister directed concerned officials to immediately take effective steps for eradication of dengue in Rawalpindi and provision of best treatment facilities should be ensured to the patients. He said that the negligence of concerned departments and institutions is lamentable and warned that whosoever is found negligent, strict action will be taken against him under the law.
