Imran Khan to face Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in bye-election: Hamza Shahbaz

Lahore: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N and Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz has said that the elements involved in the politics of sit-ins and allegations have failed. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his companions are striving for progress and prosperity of the country. He said that people are fully aware of the serious efforts of PML-N and with their support, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq will win bye-election on October 11 and return to the assembly. He said that problems of the people can be resolved through sincere efforts under parliamentary system and not through sit-ins.

He was talking to media accompanied by PML-N candidate for National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at a party meeting held in connection with the bye election in NA-122, here today.

Hamza Shahbaz further said that there is no allegation of corruption or rigging against the PML-N candidate whereas serious and sincere workers of PTI are perturbed over nomination of their party candidate as there are a number of charges against him. He said that it would have been much better if Imran Khan had contested election himself as it would have also exposed his allegations of rigging. He said that PML-N tigers wanted Imran Khan to face Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in bye-election.

Hamza Shehbaz said that a companion of Imran Khan has been caught behind the wicket while other will be clean bowled on October 11. He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s politics is aimed at the progress and prosperity of the country and he is making sincere efforts for resolving energy crisis as well as coping with other challenges being faced by the country.

Hamza Shahbaz further said that due to the efforts of present leadership, peace is returning to Karachi. In replying to a question, he said that indiscriminate action should be taken against anyone involved in corruption. He said that Chairman NAB appointed by Musharraf could not prove corruption even of a single penny against Sharif family. He said that leveling of allegations in talk shows and mudslinging is no service to the country. He said that measures are being taken for removing the flaws in the system.

He said that there is no irregularity in the investment of 46 billion dollars or any other project in the tenure of present government. He said that for the first time, political and military leadership is on one page and sacrifices are being made in Zarb-e-Azb for restoring peace in the country.

PML-N candidate from NA-122 Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, President PML-N Lahore Pervaiz Malik MNA, Members Provincial Assembly Mehar Ishtiaq, Waheed Alam Ansari, Mian Naseer, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Mian Marghoob Ahmad and Secretary Information Lahore Imran Ali Goraya were present on the occasion. Hamza Shehbaz gave instructions to town presidents and party leaders of NA-122 regarding bye election of October 11.
