Nawaz Publicity Package announced in the name of farmers package: Ch Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore:  Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that Nawaz Publicity Package announced in the name of farmers for rigging ahead of local bodies election has been reduced to half without consultation with the provinces as out of Rs 341 billion package Rs 120 billion are to be contributed by the provinces but why should governments of Asif Ali Zardari and Imran Khan provide funds of their provinces funds for Nawaz Sharif’s publicity, in Punjab local polls are of DCOs and police who are forcibly giving N-League tickets to the independent candidates and will prepare local polls results themselves as well.

He said this while addressing a press conference along with MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan and Tanveer Azam Cheema at his residence here today.

Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that these rulers have announced four packages in the past in the name of Youth Loan, Ashiana, Karachi and families of martyrs but like these packages this package for farmers is also pain package and not relief package whereas no announcement at all has been made for the growers of wheat, vegetables, sugarcane etc.

He said the two brothers make announcement with lot of pomp and show but nothing happens like the people are still searching for gold reserves in Rajua as announced by them, zamindars have been advised to install solar tube-well but the govt itself has not yet run a single solar tube-well itself and have invested Rs 16 billion on solar power plant and producing only 15 megawatt of electricity.

Paying tributes to the defenders of the motherland on the martyrdom of “namazis”, army officer and jawans in Peshawar, Ch Parvez Elahi appreciated that the Army and Air Force Chiefs had rushed to the venue of incident adding that today entire nation is with General Raheel Sharif except jealous elements. He said further that if all the opposition parties do not unanimously agree on boycott till the resignation of members of the Election Commission then there will be rigging much greater than 2013 elections, police and DCOs are playing the role of personal servants of the govt.

He said neither practically fertilizers prices have been reduced nor the farmer will get even one paisa loan without guarantee whereas sky rocketing process of seed have also not been reduced and laboratories established by us for preparing new seed have been closed.

In response to a question, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that NAB has not yet contacted him, our hands are clean, we have not indulged in corruption and only served the people.
