Chinese Consul General Ma Yaou gives a financial assistance to flood effectees

Minister Food Bilal YasinLahore: A 14-member delegation led by Chinese Consul General in Pakistan Mr. Ma Yaou called on Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin at the office of Punjab Disaster Management Authority today. Office-bearers of Chinese Associations Enterprises in Pakistan were included in the delegation. The aim of the meeting was to extend financial assistance to flood affected Pakistani brethren.

The Minister briefed the delegation about the steps taken for the rehabilitation of flood affectees by the government. He told that on the instructions of Chief Minister, financial assistance has been provided to affectees after their immediate rehabilitation. A documentary regarding the steps of rehabilitation of flood affectees was also shown to the delegation. Relief Commissioner Nadeem Ashraf while speaking on the occasion said that China has always supported Pakistan like a true friend in every test of trial. Chinese Consul General Ma Yaou said that Peoples Republic of China and Pakistan are standing with each other in every hour of distress. In the end, Consul General Ma Yaou gave a cheque of financial assistance for flood affectees to the Minister.

Bilal Yasin gave a souvenir to Consul General and thanked him. He also distributed certificates of thanks to the delegation. The Minister said that Pak-China friendship is sweeter than honey, higher than mountains and the hearts of peoples of Pakistan and China beat together and they have always supported each other in every trial of difficulty. He also thanked the Chinese delegation on behalf of Punjab Chief Minister and said that they are thankful to China for supporting Pakistan in every difficulty.
