David Leffler Guaranteeing Pakistan’s Invincibility at Minimal Cost

david-lefflerLahore: In his celebratory address for Defense Day Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, asserted “that the lesson learnt from the 1965 [Pakistan-India] War was clear that unity and oneness, commitment and courage and spirit of sacrifice if combined together could make a nation invincible and its defence impregnable.”

“Invincible” means “incapable of being defeated.” Throughout time, great warriors have strived to achieve invincibility, but without success. History shows that adversaries inevitably devise methods to defeat their enemies. No doubt, they could again do the same in Pakistan.

Invincibility is a commendable goal – but can military commanders always be sure of unity and oneness, commitment, courage and spirit of sacrifice at the critical times when they are needed?

President Mamnoon Hussain is a realist. He knows that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are constantly active and alert, “braving the challenges and frustrating enemy designs on both internal and external fronts.”

As a realist, President Hussain should be aware of the successful, science-based approach that is protecting many nations, and can protect Pakistan, without delay, from both internal and external threats. This approach is appropriately termed Invincible Defense Technology (IDT). IDT uniquely engenders invincibility, peace, economic stability and national progress to the nation and the military that implement it.

Reductions in National Collective Stress Only Achieved through IDT
What is meant by national collective stress? Social turmoil expressed in conflict, violence, war and terrorism is an indication of lack of national coherence. The obvious result of national problems and turmoil is national stress. Sustained levels of national collective stress impact negatively on cultural integrity.

Such turmoil is quite simply a social problem, i.e., a collective human problem. It requires a human solution. Experts in the field of conflict resolution point to a vicious circle of social turmoil: accumulated collective “social stress” – i.e., mounting political, religious and/or ethnic tensions between rival factions, leading to conflict, violence and increased social stress.

As social stress builds collectively, divisions grow stronger, groups take sides, leaders are unable to resolve differences, and enemies arise within or outside the nation. Military and police forces may then be called upon to protect the nation, resulting in conflict, terrorism, and unpredictable outcomes. But even if military force temporarily solves the problem for the stronger side, the social stress remains, fueling future cycles of turmoil.

In contrast, reduced levels of collective stress translate into less tension between competing sides, thereby reducing the probability of hostilities. Many countries around the world are now utilizing and expressing growing interest in the novel, field-tested IDT approach. The reason is simple and straight-forward. No other program has demonstrated such success. IDT accomplishes the dual goals of peace and prosperity – maintaining national and cultural integrity through measurable, cumulative reductions in national collective stress.

Opportunity for Pakistani military: Enliven the Unified Field in Human Consciousness to Defeat Violence at its Source

Today, the Pakistani military has an opportunity to overcome the cycle of turmoil by deploying IDT, a technology of national defense that neutralizes social stress. IDT is based on the unified field of all the laws of nature – the most fundamental and powerful level of nature’s functioning discovered by modern physics. For this reason, IDT supersedes all other known defense technologies (which are based on electronic, chemical, and/or nuclear forces).

The IDT approach accesses and enlivens the unified field through subjective technologies of consciousness, thereby creating a profound influence of coherence and harmony throughout society that results in dramatic reductions of crime, terrorism, and war. The military that deploys this powerful, human-resource-based technology disallows negative trends and prevents enemies from arising, and as a result, it has no enemies internally or externally. No enemies means no war, terrorism or insurgency – no instability. Internal coherence and cultural integrity are maintained. Peace prevails and the nation prospers.

Revival of Non-Destructive Means for Reducing Social Stress

The great Indian teacher and scientist of consciousness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi revived these systematic subjective technologies for experiencing the unified field, utilizing theTranscendental Meditation® program and its advanced techniques. Militaries in Latin America and Asia, as well as in African countries like Mozambique, have applied these non-lethal and non-destructive technologies to reduce social stress and conflict. IDT is the only scientifically validated approach to reduce social stress – validated by 23 peer-reviewed published studies carried out in both developed and developing nations.

These studies confirm that when the required threshold of IDT participants is crossed crime goes down, quality of life indices go up, and war and terrorism abate. Empirical measurement puts the threshold number of participants at approximately the square root of 1% of a given target population. The target could be a city, a province, a nation, or the entire world. Scientists have named this phenomenon the Maharishi Effect, honoring Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, who first predicted it and whose technologies of consciousness are instrumental in achieving the effect. The causal mechanism is a field effect of consciousness – an influence on the level of the unified field from the peace-creating IDT group that flows into the larger population.

Empirical, Repeatable Field-Tested Results

In 1983, a two-month Maharishi Effect intervention in Israel resulted in a 76% reduction in war deaths in neighboring Lebanon when group size exceeded the square root of 1% threshold (Journal of Conflict Resolution). Seven subsequent, consecutive experiments over a two-year period during the peak of the Lebanon war found:

  • war-related fatalities decreased by 71%
  • war-related injuries fell by 68%
  • the level of conflict dropped by 48%
  • cooperation among antagonists increased by 66%

The likelihood that these combined results were due to chance is less than one part in 10 to the nineteenth (Journal of Social Behavior and Personality). More information is available in another follow-up study published in the Journal of Scientific Exploration.

In addition, a global-scale study published in the Journal of Offender Rehabilitation documented a 72% drop in international terrorism when groups of peace-creating experts had assembled that were large enough to generate the Maharishi Effect for the entire world.

Examples of Coherent Effects in Nature Mirror the IDT Group Dynamics of Consciousness

The internal coherence of the Maharishi Effect creates an “invincibility shield” to maintain cultural integrity. This process parallels other processes of nature seen in physical systems. Certain “internally” coherent systems have the ability to protect themselves against disruptive influences, while “incoherent” systems are easily penetrated by disorder from the outside.

One example of such an “invincibility shield” is the Meissner Effect, which takes place at the quantum level of superconductivity. In a superconductor, the coherent functioning of the electrons spontaneously excludes an external, disruptive magnetic field. This system maintains its impenetrable status because no random or chaotic activity can take place within it. In ordinary electrical conductors, the random activity of incoherent and disordered electrons allows penetration of an external magnetic field.
