Lahore: Over 400 athletes and officials will arrive at the Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad on 13th September 2015 for the National Taekwondo Championship 2015 which begin with an immersive and uniquelyTaekwondo-style Opening Ceremony on Monday 14th of September, 2015. The joyous celebration of impactful sporting celebration, personal development and friendship will feature 400 athletes from Punjab, KPK, Sindh, Balochistan, Gilgit Baltistan, FATA, Islamabad, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Air Force, Railway, Police, Wapda and Higher Education Commission, mostly aged 18-25, aiming for 60 Gold, 60 Silver and 120 Bronze Medals in 34 Categories over 5 days of competition.
President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation and Chair of the Organizing Committee, Lt Col Waseem Ahmed (Retd), said: “Islamabad is proud to once again lead the Taekwondo Family as we host the National Taekwondo Championship and welcome more than 400 athletes and officials from across the Country. PSB have great facilities in place and look forward to seeing some strong performances from these young athletes and champions of tomorrow.
