Lahore: Provincial Minister for Education Rana Mashud Ahmad Khan has said that Lahore Knowledge Park will be set up at 800 acre land where besides educational, residential facilities will also be available to the male and female students. He said that commercial area has also been included in the project.
He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting to review establishment of Lahore Knowledge Park, here today. Shahid Zaman CEO and all members of Board of Directors of the proposed institution attended the meeting. The Education Minister said that Lahore Knowledge Park will prove a milestone in the efforts of including Pakistan in the developed and prosperous nations.
He said that Japan is an example of it which after destruction of atom bombs in Second World War laid strong foundation of industrial development by setting up Knowledge Park.
Rana Mashud said that Lahore Knowledge Park will reflect educational vision of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif. He said that state-of-the-art Lahore Knowledge Park will comprise the population of 40 thousand persons.
He said that applied sciences will be promoted on the basis of knowledge economy in the schools, colleges and universities to be set up in Lahore Knowledge Park.
