Lahore: Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N Hamza Shehbaz MNA has said that Lahore is the bastion of Pakistan Muslim League-N and it will win bye-election in NA-122 with thumping majority. He said that Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has succeeded from this constituency two times in the past and will again achieve victory in the election.
He further said that people will express complete confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif once again in local bodies’ elections and will give even a bigger mandate than 2013 for completing the agenda of progress and prosperity of the country. He said that it is the mission of PML-N to include Pakistan in the comity of developed nations and is making all out efforts in this regard.
Presiding over a meeting at Party Secretariat, Model Town, he said that other political parties are afraid of mega projects started by PML-N in the country especially Punjab. He said that there is a need for unity and harmony in the country and instead of sit-ins, efforts could be made for national progress. He said that those staged sit-ins for four months did no service to democracy.
He further said that after coming into power in 2013, PML-N declared elimination of darkness from the country as its top priority and a number of projects are under completion in power sector during the last two years. He said that development in Lahore and provision of modern facilities in the city is unprecedented and people of metropolis will extend every support to those in general elections as well as local bodies’ election who are serving them selflessly.
MNA and President PML-N Lahore, Pervaiz Malik gave the details of names of chairmen and vice chairmen of different constituencies. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Kh. Ahmed Hasaan, Provincial Minister Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, MNA Mehr Ishtiaq and a large number of party workers were present on the occasion. Hamza Shehbaz also gave approval to lists of parliamentary board for local bodies’ candidates.
