Lahore: Ex PML-N MNA Jalil Ahmed Sharqpuri formally announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf on Tuesday. He said PMLN was extorting money from traders on the name of withholding tax which we oppose.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Punjab, organiser Chaudhary Mohammad Sarwar has asked the PML-N to shun U-turn politics and face the PTI in elections. He also said the PML-N must review its politics of hiding itself behind courts and added, “stay order” has become the trade mark if PML-N politics Sharqpuri joined PTI with PMLN District Vice President of Sheikhupura Iftikhar Khara Dogar and scores of other leaders and workers.
PTI Sheikhupura Organiser Imran Saeed and Punjab Deputy organizer Omar Sarfraz Cheema were also there.Ch Sarwar said the incumbent rulers in Punjab were remote controlling the police and bureaucracy in the province. He said the army operation must continue against corruption and terrorism to save the country, otherwise the generations to come would not be able to find peace, progress and prosperity in the country.
Chaudhary Sarwar said the PTI had become a symbol of fear for all opposition parties including the PML-N as it was also unable to face the PTI in election arena. He said the PML-N rulers had continued using delaying tactics to put off the local bodies’ elections but after their failure started using public funds to promote their candidates in local bodies’ constituencies. He said the PTI would never run from contesting elections and was even preparing to stop any kind of rigging in elections with an iron hand.
He said the Election Commission of Pakistan should take strict notice of the PML-N’s rigging plans instead of acting as a silent spectator. Otherwise, he said, the PTI would be protesting against the ECP too.
