Shahbaz Sharif participated in special function at Yadgar-e-Shuhada

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif participated in special function at Yadgar-e-Shuhada in the Cantt. on the occasion of Defense Day under the aegis of IV Corps.

Corps Commander Lahore Lt. Gen. Naveed Zaman, senior civil and military officers, army jawans, former generals, families of the martyrs, Chief Secretary Punjab, Inspector General Police, Secretary Home and prominent personalities belonging to various walks of life were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Corps Commander Lahore Lt. Gen. Naveed Zaman laid floral wreath on Yadgar of Shuhada and paid homage to the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs. They also prayed for the martyrs. The Chief Minister and Corps Commander went to the children of Army Public School presenting national song.

Addressing the ceremony, Corps Commander Lahore especially thanked the Chief Minister Punjab on attending the ceremony. Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the audience moved to tears when a documentary regarding terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar was shown to them. They also paid rich tributes to the supreme sacrifices of the children.

During the ceremony, rich tributes were also paid to the supreme sacrifice of Home Minister Punjab Col. (R) Shuja Khanzada Shaheed.
