Lahore: Punjab Minister for Labour & Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar has said that no Pakistani can support corruption at any level which is weakening the roots of our country morally and economically.
He said that we can justify ourselves only by strongly supporting being taken by present government and national institutions to eliminate corruption from our society.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar said that global elevation of the country was not possible without curbing the menace of corruption at home. “I fully support the accountability campaign which has been initiated by the government of Pakistan across the board and the national institutions which are engaged in this process of cleansing the motherland at every level”, he added.
He appealed the media not to publish such sentences which are result of any slip of tongue as he has always supported the measures taken against corruption.
Raja Ashfaq Sarwar further said that media is an important pillar of our society which plays an important role in constitution of public opinion. Therefore, instead of non-issues, media should promote positive and responsible journalism for the development of country and the nation, he added.
He said that media should also appreciate the steps taken by PML-N government for elimination of corruption. He said that due to good governance and transparent system, fruit of democracy have reached to common man. That is why other provinces are inclined to follow the good governance of Punjab province.
