Lahore: The Chairman of Pakistan Awami Tehreek Dr. Tahirul Qadri has said that Pakistan is indebted to martyrs (Shaheeds) of the armed forces for defending the motherland and the Operation Zarb-e-Azb is the firm commitment of the people of the country for the elimination of terrorism and extremism.
In a message on the eve of the Defense Day of Pakistan the PAT chief said that wars are won by the commitment of the people of a country are arms and ammunition just play a small role. He said this commitment was witnessed in the 1965 war and the whole world saw that the people of Pakistan stood by their armed forces and supported them in every way they could. He said the world saw that a small nation defeated a country six times larger than it and the martyrs by laying down their lives for their motherland wrote a new chapter in the books of history.
The PAT chief said that when a nation is united than no force is the world can stop them from achieving their target. He said in the same way the people of the country stand united behind their armed forces against terrorism and extremism and by the Grace of Allah Almighty Pakistan will achieve this goal very soon. He said the sacrifices the officers and jawans of our armed forces will not go to waste and each and every drop of blood shed will be held accountable. He said the commitment of the people and the armed forces will achieve their target in the shortest possible time when will be recorded in the pages of history.
Dr. Tahirul Qadri paid homage to the martyrs of the 1965 war and at the same time revealed that PAT delegations will visit mausoleums of the martyrs and lay floral wreaths as a sign of respect in eight different cities where our martyrs lay in peace. These delegations will be led by secretary general Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Mazhar Alvi and other local PAT leaders. They will visit Lahore, Gujrat, Burewala, Swabi, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Gilgit Baltistan and Gujjar Khan.
