Lahore: Punjab government has increased the annual grant of the Shalimar Trust hospital from Rs. 100 million to 200 million.
This was stated by while giving a cheque for 10 crore rupees as the first installment of the annual grant to a representative of Shalimar Trust Hospital in the office of Directorate General Health Services here today.
DG Health Dr. Zahid Pervaiz and other officers were also present on the occasion. Khawaja Salman Rafiq said that funds are provided to trust hospitals for the treatment of poor and destitute patients. He said that provision of maximum treatment facilities to poor patients is the mission of the Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and funds of 10 billion 80 crore rupees have been allocated in the current budget for government hospitals for this purpose. He further said that efficient utilization of the funds of billions of rupees is the responsibility of administration of government hospitals.
