Punjab government to provide scooties to working women

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has said that the work is continuing on the pilot project for provision of scooties for resolving transport problems being faced by the women.

She said this while presiding over a meeting held in connection with selecting the model of scooties under pilot project of providing scooties to working women at Committee Room of Finance Department, here today. Representatives of Women Development, Transport, Finance Departments, Bank of Punjab and various manufacturing companies attended the meeting.

The Provincial Minister witness models of scooties of various companies and inquired details. Various companies gave detailed briefings to the Provincial Finance Minister about the models of 70CC and 110CC. Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha constituted a committee comprising representatives of Women Development, Transport, Finance Departments and Bank of Punjab.

The Finance Minister said that the project of providing scooties to the women will be launched on the occasion of Women International Day.
