Asif Zardari is shocked over the arrest of Dr. Asim Hussain:Minister for Law

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that it seems that Asif Zardari is shocked over the arrest of his trustworthy friend Dr. Asim Hussain. He said that the inquiry against Dr. Asim into the allegation of funding to terrorists should be conducted on merit. He said that if Dr. Asim is involved in corruption instead of funding to terrorists, then NAB should take action against him. The Law Minister said that if the allegation of funding to terrorists has been leveled only to arrest Dr. Asim in corruption, then it is lamentable and it should not happen.

He was talking to media at assembly premises, today. Rana Sanaullah said that whenever action had been taken against the politicians of the country in such a manner, its end was not good. He said that people do not like such kind of accountability. He said that elimination of all evils including corruption is essential, however, NAB should arrest corrupt people. The Law Minister said that Zarb-e-Azb is a great favour of our law enforcement and secret agencies to the nation. He said that MQM, Peoples Party and other political parties should be taken into confidence for the success of Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation. He said that MQM should be provided an opportunity to work as a political party.

Rana Sanaullah said that the entire nation and all political forces have given mandate in favour of Zarb-e-Azb and Karachi operation. He said that our military institutions, Rangers and police are completely independent to take action against terrorists, their facilitators and financers. The Law Minister said that the progress of our country depends upon the success of Zarb-e-Azb and economic corridor.
