The Old Ravians community stands by Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah :Kamran Lashari

Lahore: The Old Ravians community stands by Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah for the uplift  of Government College University, Lahore, said Old Ravian Union President Kamran Lashari on Friday.

“Prof Shah, whenever it comes to GCU, you will never find yourself alone. Old Ravians are with you and will provide you every possible support for bringing their alma mater in the ranking of the world top universities,” said the union’s president while welcoming the appointment of eminent physicist Hassan Amir Shah as the 30th head of GCU.

In the press statement, Kamran Lashari, ORU General Secretary Mian Muhammad Ahamd Cahacharr, Vice President Advocate Tayyab Rizvi and Honorary Secretary Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt also said that Prof Shah had remained part of GCU faculty for more than 13 years and understood well the traditions of the historical educational institution.

They appreciated the meritorious selection of vice chancellors by the Punjab government, saying that, “we are thankful to Punjab Chief Minister that he has not sent an alien to Government College University, Lahore. Hassan A Shah belongs to GCU and has just come back to their mother institution.”

Meanwhile, the union has informed its chapters in India, United Kingdom and other parts of the world about the appointment Prof Dr Hassan Amir Shah as the Vice Chancellor, GCU.
