PML-Q demands stern action against the accused of child abuse case

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) Punjab General Secretary and former Opposition leader in the Provincial Assembly Ch Zaheeruddin Khan has termed Kasur incident as quite deplorable and said that despite strong reaction of the people over this scandal there has been no change in the attitude of the govt, this is a problem of conscious of the govt and not of land which is not awakening yet, incident occurring in the Islamic country of Pakistan has put down faces of the people in great shame, those abusing the innocent children for wrong are enemies of humanity and the nation.

Talking to newsmen here today, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan said that turning down of the request for setting up of a judicial commission of the Punjab Govt regarding Kasur scandal by the Lahore High Court is a good decision as when the Judicial Commission do not come in favour of the govt then the Punjab Govt do not let verdict of the judiciary implemented which amounts to ridiculing of the judiciary and its verdicts. He said after the request for a judicial commission being turned down by the Lahore High Court the Kasur scandal case should immediately be sent to the military courts so that the culprits are given exemplary punishment at the earliest in order to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.

He said that the effected people were protesting against these incidents for quite some time but the local administration did not listened to them but now that the media reported this shameful incident the rulers have suddenly come to their senses. He said mere changing of the SHO concerned will not be of any help and rather all characters involved in the scandal will have to be exposed so that such incidents do not occur in future.
