Lahore: Director General Sports Punjab Usman Anwar, in a statement on Friday, has said that healthy sports activities will grow to great extent in Punjab after the completion of 42 sports development schemes in the province.
DG SBP Usman Anwar said majority of the 42 sports development projects are belonged to far-flung areas in various cities which reflected our commitment to promote sports at village and town level in the Punjab province. “After completion of dozens of sports projects, a new era of prosperous sports will begin in the province,” he predicted.
He said that Sports Board Punjab was already focusing on the promotion of sports in the province. “The potential youth of the province are a real asset for the country. We are also targeting the talented youngsters of the remote areas and trying to provide them best sports facilities,” he described.
DG SBP Usman Anwar said that there will be proper check and balance on the usage of the amount of Rs 852.289 million. “It will be checked whether the amount is used on the prescribed schemes properly or not. In this regard no negligence will be tolerated,” he added.
