Kh. Salman announces to set up a 40 beds hospital in the Police Lines

Health Advisor Kh. Salman RafiqueLahore: Kh. Salman Rafique has said that a 40 beds hospital will be set up in the Police Lines for the police department’s employees and their families and a sum of rupees 106.52 will be spent on it. This hospital will be operational within two years.

He said this, while presiding over a meeting to review the progress of establishing the hospital in the police line, in the Directorate General Health Services, here today.

DIG operation Dr. Ashraf  Haider, Director Health Dr. Abdul Majeed Chaudhry, Dr. Yahyah, officers Health and police departments attended the meeting. Dr. Abdul Majeed Ch. gave presentation on the PC-1 of the hospital and told that building for this purpose is already available in the police lines.

He informed that the hospital will consist on 40 beds and it will be a referral hospital with the facilities of CT scan, Ultrasound, ECG, X-rays, pathology Lab and other diagnostics. He informed that specialist doctors of surgery, Gaenocology, Peads, medicines and other fields will be posted. Moreover, MNCH, TB and Hepatitis centres would also be established in the hospital.

Kh. Salman Rafique said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken various steps for the welfare of police officials and their families and the new modern hospital is also a part of this policy.

He said that the sacrifices of police for maintenance of Law & order and to curb terrorism are commendable. He directed that PC-1 of the hospital should be completed as early as possible and a summary also be prepared for Chief Minister for getting his final approval to start the work on this project. Kh. Salman Rafique said that police lines hospital will provide best medical facilities to the police officials and their families at local level and its capacity will be to cater 400 outdoor patients daily.
