Waseem Akram remain lucky in deadly attack in Karachi

Lahore: Cricket Star Waseem Akram remained lucky in deadly attack when an unidentified gunman opened fire on his vehicle in carsaaz,Karachi.

Waseem Akram was going to National Stadium in his car.On the way some unidentified armed personnel opened fire upon him but he managed to drive his car safely and reached his destination where he informed the PCB authorities about the incident.The attackers were professional , one of them got off and fired at my vehicle, Wasim Akram told the PCB officials.I have informed the police about the incident and the vehicle number of the accused,he maintained.

Waseem Akram said that he is feeling stress due to this incident.

Governor Sindh Dr Ishrat ul Ebad has expressed concern over the incident of firing on Waseem Akram and has sought a report from CCPO Karachi.

Imran Khan and Shahid Afridi have condemned the firing incident.Imran Khan tweeted that ” I am glad to know Wasim Akram is safe”.Rameez Raja said that I strongly condemn the firing on National Hero Wasim Akram. Govt should act swiftly to apprehend the Criminals.

SSP East has said that a car AEG 061 driven by a young man collided with Waseem Akram’s car,hot words were exchanged and he did firing in air,1bullet hit tyre.
