Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that de-seating of PTI MNAs would add to the political chaos in the country and create more problems for the government. He was talking to the media at a function in Karachi on Saturday.
Liaqat Baloch said that the internal and external challenges facing the country required that the democratic, political forces sat together to find solutions of all the problems through mutual understanding and avoided all such moves that could increase tension. He said that all issues- right from the Judicial Commission’s report up to the de-seating of the PTI members should be decided keeping in view the greater interest of the country and democracy instead of making these issues of personal ego.
The JI Secretary General urged the rulers to stop wasting public money on unnecessary advertisements and instead utilize this money for providing help and relief to the flood/rain affected people and for adopting necessary measures to protect the people in Sindh from expected floods.
He termed the Withholding Tax as cruel and said this was tantamount to ruining business and economy. He said the JI would join the traders protest in this respect. He advised the government to immediately withdraw this tax in order to end the unrest among the business community.
